  • Senator Vernon White spent over 20 years with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, serving in roles that ranged from constable to assistant commissioner. Over the course of a 31-year career as a police officer, he served communities in three provinces as well as the northern territories.
  • He led the Regional Police Service in Durham for two years before serving a 5-year term as chief of police in Ottawa.
