Former lawyer, dedicated advocate for mental health
- Before entering politics, Senator Denise Batters practiced law privately from 1995 to 2007. She also previously served as executive director of regulatory affairs in Saskatchewan's Crown Investments Corporation. From November 2007 to June 2012, she was the chief of staff to Saskatchewan’s minister of justice.
- She is an active member of the business community through directorships and involvement in the Regina Women’s Network and the Regina and District Chamber of Commerce.
